Survival Should Not Be a Privilege
WE ARE NOT CRAZY. THE SYSTEM IS.
On Money, Manufactured Scarcity, and Quiet Resistance
— by The Peoples Voice

“Every year, dozens of federal and statewide elections determine who controls money, resources, and policy.” “while thousands of local contests quietly shape who thrives and who suffers.”
We are told money is everything.
We are told it decides who eats, who heals, who rests, who survives.
But money is human-made.
It is printed. Literally manufactured.
It is regulated by institutions like the Federal Reserve.
It exists because we collectively agree it does.
And yet we act like it is a law of nature.
There is enough food to end hunger.
Enough housing to end homelessness.
Enough medicine to prevent suffering.
What we have is not a lack of resources.
We have a system that prioritizes profit over people.
Scarcity is often manufactured.
Suffering is often reframed as “policy.”
Neglect is called “budget discipline.”
And if you question it, you’re told you’re naïve.
But it is not naïve to believe survival should not depend on income.
It is not radical to believe healthcare is a human need.
It is not extreme to ask why abundance exists beside deprivation.
The quiet truth is this:
The system depends on inequality to function.
It depends on debt to motivate.
It depends on fear to maintain order.
And once you see that, you can’t unsee it.
But awareness does not require rage.
Clarity does not require collapse.
Resistance does not always look like revolution.
Sometimes it looks like:
- Crashing the Polls and Voting!
- * refusing to measure your worth by your pocketbook and productivity
- * caring for people without profit
- * defining “enough” for yourself and breaking out of the trap of always wanting more
- * Stop with the comparisons
- * telling the truth plainly
- * protecting your nervous system
- * Rejecting systems and systemic oppressions against all of humanity rather than blind acceptance
- * Recognizing that what’s being done to ALL of us not included in the wealthy 1% are in fact Mass crimes against humanity not only on a national level but on Global scale
- * choosing humanity over hierarchy
- * Voting in every election throughout the year Statewide and National not just the Presidential, thousands of elections happen a year yet most people only know about 1. The outcomes of these elections are what’s controlling our lives. It Matters.
- We are not crazy for noticing.
- We are not dramatic for grieving what could be.
- We are not weak for being tired of surviving inside something that could be redesigned.
- Money was meant to serve humanity.
- Humanity was not meant to serve money.
- And until that changes,
- we resist quietly, intentionally, together.
